		MARITIME SECURITY & DEFENCE–HAMBURG 2011
		Director General PMSA Rear Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi SI(M) was invited as a speaker to attended the International Conference & Exhibition on Maritime Security & Defence (MS&D)–Hamburg 2011 held at Hamburg, Germany from 15 to 17 June 2011. MS&D is a biennial event with the first conference held in Sep 2008. MS&D-2011 was a gathering of international experts on maritime security and defence in which over thirty countries were represented. The Conference started with a plenary session during which high level German officials including State Secretary of Defence, State Minister of Interior, German Chief of Naval Staff and Vice Admiral (Retired) Lutz Feldt former Chief of Naval Staff German Navy and Conference Chairman addressed the conference and gave their viewpoint on maritime security and defence. DG PMSA spoke on 'Pakistan's Role in Maritime Security in the Arabian Sea Region'.
